She was the first Latina to ever create or write, and then produce, her own series on a network. She was born in Texas before making the move in Los Angeles for her career. She has appeared in guest roles on TV shows like Sons of Anarchy and General Hospital. She is also a scriptwriter for the TV show Mind of Mencia.
