
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She lived from January 31st, 1937 until January 19th, 2008. [1] Pleshette started her career in the theatre and started appearing in films in the late 1950s. She later made appearances in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette was a frequent guest on a variety of TV productions. She was also a part of Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage director in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
